Dr Lei Cao is an experienced and caring General Practitioner at Willoughby Medical Practice, proudly serving the community as part of the trusted Willoughby Doctors and Willoughby Family GPs. With a strong background in general medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, and rural GP work, he provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals and families.

Dr Lei completed his primary medical degree and master’s degrees in China, undertook six years of physician training in Beijing, and later obtained Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) scholarship and earned his PhD in heart health at Macquarie University. He has worked across major hospitals and rural NSW, and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

His key areas of focus include chronic disease management, early detection of medical conditions, preventive health, mental health support, aged care, workplace injuries, and common skin procedures.
